The Depression of 2010

History repeats itself, and what is old is new again. The winter of 2009 was unusually warm melting the polar caps and the oceans rose to the point that most of the coastal communities were flooded. Thousands died and those who survived used any transportation that was available and trains made a huge comeback. By the summer of 2010 there was little work and families had to split up to survive.

Brother and sister leaving their small community going to live with family in the mid-west in search of work. The train station empty and the wait for the train long.
